Company Evolution

• 1998 Established as a building automation company, Intercon became dedicated to helping customers understand and actively manage the operation of their facilities.
• 2000 As a strategic partner and exclusive representative for Automated Logic Corporation (ALC), Intercon became the first to introduce a non-proprietary energy management system alternative to building owners and operators in central Pennsylvania. This first-of-its-kind, web-enabled, browser-based energy management system allowed customers to access and manage facilities remotely without any limitations or special software.
• 2002 Intercon moved to the current Harrisburg location to accommodate rapid growth.
• 2006 Intercon purchased a Linc Service franchise, and as a result, expanded offerings to include mechanical services and maximize the life cycle of customers’ mechanical equipment through planned mechanical maintenance.
• 2009 Intercon purchased and completely renovated a larger facility and moved its operations to the new building to accommodate continued growth and expansion. The new building employs examples of the technology we apply in our clients’ facilities and serves as a working demonstration of the value we bring to our clients.
• Today, we continue to experience growth as current customers build, renovate and acquire new buildings and as new customers discover the benefits of energy efficiency and improved systems management. More and more companies depend on Intercon as their single-source automation and mechanical experts.
